Vaurice's Page

I was born in New Orleans on July 9, 1987. As a newborn baby I had very bad asthma, so the doctors had to keep me in the hospital for a couple of days. When I was finally able to go home, my mom flew our family to Texas where I lived the first 7 years of my life.

Life in Texas

I'm not one of those people who can remember everything that happened in their life since they were born, but I do remember when I started to attend school. When I turned 5 years old, I started to attend Corrigan-Camden Primary School. I didn't know it but I was pretty smart in school, and in the first grade I was the only one in my whole entire class to make the straight A honor roll.

My life in Texas was alright. I can remember when I got my first power wheel jeep. When I was riding in it, I thought I was going really fast, that was until I got old enough to realize that I was only going about 2 mph. After a couple of months, I broke it because I tryed to put gas in it, but my idea of gas was water so I messed up the battery and I never had another one since. When I turned 7, We moved to Louisiana.

Life in Louisana

When I moved to Louisiana in the 2nd grade, I was kindof scared because I had to make all new friends, But I found out later that I was going to the school that most of my cousins from Louisiana was going, and that was Springfield Elementary. Springfield Elementary was cool. I always made good grades and everything. But what I really wanted to do was hurry up and get in middle school.

When I finally got to Middle School in my 5th grade year, I wanted to go back to Elementary school because the work was harder, and that when I started to make bad grades. In my 6th grade year, I started to play little conference football but I couldn't even go to my first game because I had made three D's on my interim and my mom made me quit. All through middle school I made bad grades, but in my 8th grade year I had to start making good grades again because my older sister had became a teacher and she wasn't going to put up with my lack of effort. So Later that year I start making A's and B's again and I passed my LEAP test, now it was time for high school.

When I got to high school I had to really buckle down and hit the book because I knew that my future would mostly depend on what I did in high school.I don't have that many highlights in my highschool career, except that in my freshmen year, I recieved an award in Alegbra I.In my sophomore year, I was inducted into the National Beta Club and I recieved an award for Algebra II. Which brings to where I am now, which is in my 11th grade year. The year is almost over and I just resently got an award in Chemistry and Geometry and I passed my LEAP test. So all there is left to do now is graduate and go to college.
